Creatures of the Land

Sea Dwelling Creatures

Seals, octopus, squid, jellyfish, prawns, starfish, lobsters, brown crabs, spider crabs, seahorses, anemones and shells. The decorative border shows the waves of the sea.

Trees and Flowers

Oak, ash, hawthorn, poplar, willow, ivy, bluebells, dog roses, pink campion, primroses, gorse, marsh marigolds, flag irises are all illustrated here within a border of the leaves of trees.

Sea Birds

The central circle shows the distant hazy purple outline of Ramsey Island. The Puffins are nesting on the short clifftop grass of Skomer Island with gannets, gulls, terns, guillemots, shags and oyster catchers .

Sea Fish

The central circle shows the distant hazy purple outline of Ramsey Island. The sea is filled with a wide variety of fish.

Birds of Field and Forest

Kestrel, blue tit, cuckoo, woodpecker, tawny owl, barn owl, swallow, merlin, blue heron, little egret, blackbird, thrush, wren, jay, chaffinch, swallow and swift are all within a border of willow leaves.

Landscapes

Numerous different landscapes are portrayed. The central circle shows St Davids cathedral in its secluded wooded valley below Carn Lliddi, Around the central circle there are illustrations of Porth Gain, Porth Clais, Aberreiddi, the Blue Lagoon, Whitesands and other views of the peninsular.
